With a history spanning more than half a century, Dandy Dinmont Park has been a destination for dog lovers as well as holidaymakers for decades. Set in rolling countryside at Blackford, near Carlisle, the caravan park, which is open 365 days of the year, was once breeding kennels for a type of terrier from which the park takes its name.

While the kennels have long since gone, the park retains its affection for the breed, candidly sharing its knowledge of the dog’s history on its website.
